Are you struggling with chemicalabuse by someone in your family? Our non-profit support group is made up of people who ARE or HAVE BEEN through something similar to what you are feeling right now - stress, anxiety, fear, anger, loneliness, uncertainty, embarrassment & sorrow. Strength Over Sorrow is designed to give you support and comfort during a difficult time and to inform you of options available for your loved one to successfully recover from their chemical abuse or addiction.
1010 N. Main Street Sikeston, Missouri (St. Paul's Episcopal Church (Parish Hall) (see map link to left) Our group is knowledgeable about what rehabilitation programs are available in Southeast Missouri. It is also an opportunity to talk with others who have faced the same decisions and challenges of providing appropriate treatment and care for chemically dependent loved ones. Often this comes at a time when your loved one has been arrested and jailed. When looking for answers during such a difficult time, it can be a real benefit to associate with a support group who cares and can be very empathetic for the situation that you are in. You can learn how beneficial that "tough love" (although difficult) can be toward your loved one. This non-profit organization is not affiliated with any particular rehabilitation or religious organizations and no collection is taken or fee charged. Confidentiality is respected and maintained by all members and participants. The group's goal is to give you STRENGTH over the SORROW and other negative emotions that are probably affecting you now.
